The next generation of digital craftsmanship.

I wanted a blog that covers the whole authoring loop: signing up, writing, publishing, and readers responding.

• Email/password auth with Supabase and protected routes, plus a one-click anonymous guest demo; pg_cron deletes guest accounts and their uploads after 24 hours.
• A TipTap rich-text editor with tags and drafts; cover and inline images are resized and compressed to WebP in the browser, then stored in Supabase Storage.
• Supabase Realtime keeps comments and likes live, shows an “N new posts” pill on the feed and who is reading a post, and drives a notifications bell for follows, likes, and comments.
• Ranked Postgres full-text search with prefix matching and highlighted snippets.
• A TL;DR on every post and related posts found by meaning (pgvector with gte-small embeddings), generated by Supabase Edge Functions when a post is published.
• Row-level security on every table, a cyber HUD look with four colour themes and light/dark, and Playwright tests in CI.

It taught me to keep auth state in one place and guard routes around it, so readers and signed-in authors each land on the right screens. Adding realtime, notifications, and AI later showed me how much can live in Postgres: triggers queue the work, and Edge Functions and Realtime finish it.
